The International School of Hotel Management Les Roches Marbella is located in the heart of Spain’s Costa del Sol, one of the most dynamic and unique tourist locations in Spain and Europe. Marbella offers year-round warm weather; there are beaches, golf resorts, and numerous outdoor activities to suit your lifestyle. Marbella is beautiful, clean, and safe. This allows its residents and visitors alike to experience a high quality living environment. Marbella is a rapidly expanding city and has the largest concentration of four and five star hotels on the Costa del Sol.

The Campus is situated in a residential area, between the city centre of Marbella and Puerto Banus. It’s 35 minutes from Malaga International Airport and 45 minutes from Malaga’s train station. It is near the A-7 motorway and the N-340 dual carriageway. It is surrounded by golf courses and is ideally located for other sporting activities. Students are members of the Manolo Santana ‘Racquet Club’, where they can enjoy racquet ball, tennis, aerobics, a sauna, and swimming.

With its splendid facilities, the modern Campus of Les Roches offers you all the necessary ingredients for a comprehensive education, including the following: top notch Faculty, industry standard computer hardware and software, demonstration kitchens, the most up-to-date language laboratories, and an extensive library. We will also provide you with a wireless Internet connection and email access. You will gain practical hands-on training in the school’s demonstration kitchens, restaurant, and bar facilities. Moreover, your residences are on the school campus, so you are never far from the heart of the campus.

Les Roches Marbella is located in the south of Spain between the centre of Marbella and the world famous harbor of Puerto Banus. It is in the heart of the "Costa del Sol" - just 45 minutes from the city of Malaga and its international airport.

You will feel as if you are living in a hotel rather than in a large university campus. Students are housed in the school residence which is adjacent to the main building and offers several types of accommodation. You will probably be in a double room. It will have an en-suite bathroom, closets, and upon request and availability, individual rooms, rooms with acclimatization and extra storage space are available.

All Les Roches Marbella’s students are members of the Manolo Santana ‘Racquet Club’, where they can enjoy freely numerous outdoor and indoor sport facilities:

In addition to on-campus facilities, students have access to numerous all year round recreational and sport activities outside the campus reachable within a few minutes' drive by car or by public transport. Mabella has an enviable mild microclimate and average year round temperature of 19ºC (66 Fahrenheit).

Information Technology

Information Technology will play an important role throughout your studies. Accessing our comprehensive wireless network, being connected to internet and communicating by e-mail will be part of your daily life. Your laptop will be your basic working tool and you will develop strong computer skills as well as learn the standard software packages used in the industry. IT help desk services are also available to students.

Library

Our library accommodates books, numerous professional journals, on-line journals and publications amongst other information resources which are very helpful for research during assignments such as case studies or preparation of the marketing, feasibility and capstone projects. By doing so, you will acquire an essential lifelong skill: self-learning. Our professional librarian offer expertise to ensure the required information is located.

At Les Roches Marbella, we ensure that our students are well-trained in

Kitchen // Service // Rooms Division

These three areas are taught outside a traditional class environment as students learn by doing. This learning style is called hands-on or craft-based learning. Hands-on learning is critical to gain the knowledge and skills you need to lead a hospitality organization in the future.

Kitchens & Restaurants

Students not only prepare but also serve all three meals to their other fellow students. Not all on your own of course - we have 10 professionals teaching and supervising you in the kitchen and restaurants. But you will do the work which, afterwards is reviewed and analyzed by your professor. There are two restaurants on campus, one casual “Le Marche” and one formal dining concept “El Olivo”. You will work in both of the restaurants and will learn in-depth all facets of restaurant and bars service. It can be a challenging experience but you will learn the style and concept that will make you a polished manager in a five star environment.

International

The closest airport to the Campus is Malaga's International Airport, 35 minutes away by car. Seville and Gibraltar Airports are also close.

From Malaga airport to our school, the arrival can be done through:

• Taxi service (The fare should not exceed 70 Euros) from Malaga Airport directly into Les Roches Marbella.
• Bus from Malaga Airport direct to Marbella Central Bus Station (frequent services – price: 5 Euros approx.) and taxi from Marbella Central Bus Station to Les Roches Marbella (price 10 Euros approx.)

Arriving from other Spanish cities

Malaga is the direction in which to travel if you want to reach Les Roches Marbella by train, bus or your own transport. The Malaga train and bus stations are located in the city´s centre, 45 minutes away from the school.

Marbella does not have a train station, so if you are coming by train, you will have to stop at the Malaga´s Station and take a taxi or a bus or rent a car to get to Marbella. The bus station is adjacent to the train station.

Arriving from Malaga

By Car

From Malaga, you can also use the auto way E-15, in direction to Puerto Banus. After the tunnel, take the exit nr. 176, indicated as “Istan-Ma-427”. At the first roundabout, take the road to your right, and also to the right on the second roundabout. After 1 km. you will find, on your right hand side, the arch “Sierra Blanca”, at the entrance of “Las Lomas de Rio Verde” urbanization. Once you traverse the arch, take the first roundabout to your left. At the end of the road you will find us.

Once in Malaga, the most convenient way to get to the school is to take the Toll Highway A-7 of “Costa del Sol” to exit number 176. It´s marked “Istán-MA-427.” Then, on the Road to Istan, turn right direction to Marbella. Continue to the entrance at the "Lomas de Sierra Blanca" (arch) on the right. This road leads to the School (on the left hand side).

By Train

It is not possible to arrive at Les Roches Marbella by train. The closest train station is the one in Fuengirola which is located about halfway between Malaga and Marbella.

From the airport, trains depart to Fuengirola every 30 minutes, from 6 AM to 10.30 PM. The price of the ticket to Fuengirola is around 1.45 Euros (1.60 Euros on the weekends).

From Fuengirola, you will either have to take a bus or a taxi to the school.

By Bus

There is a direct bus service between Malaga Airport (also from Malaga City) and Marbella. The trip takes 45 minutes and costs only around 5 Euros. Schedules change depending on the season. For more information, please go to http://www.ctsa-portillo.es/ima/pdf/aeropuerto.pdf.

There is also a bus service between Marbella and Fuengirola (the last train stop). The bus station is close to the train station. The trips lasts one hour and costs arond 2.00 Euros. You can find the schedule for this bus by looking for "Los horarios" here http://www.marbella.com

Once at the Marbella Bus station, you will have to take a taxi to the school.

By Taxi

This is the fastest and most comfortable way of traveling to the school, especially if you have a lot of luggage.

You can get a taxi right at the airport. The price of a taxi from the airport to the School is approximately 70 Euros. You can also get a taxi from the bus station in Marbella to Les Roches for only 7 Euros. Taxis in Marbella do not work with meters. Instead, ask for the price of the trip before getting into the taxi - there is a fixed price table for every destination in Marbella.

Arriving from Marbella town

Please take the motorway 340, in the direction of Puerto Banus. After 3 km. approximately, you will find a Muslim mosque on your right hand side. Just after the mosque, take the road exit to the right, indicated “Istán”. The exit Les Roches Marbella is about 1.5 km. from the main route, on your left hand side, you will pass through the arch “Sierra Blanca”, at the entrance of “Las Lomas de Rio Verde” urbanization. Once you traverse the arch, take the first roundabout to your left. At the end of the road you will find us.
