Since it was founded, in 1995, Les Roches Marbella has developed its activities with the purpose of training and qualifying Hospitality Managers for the International Hospitality Industry. The courses combine the Swiss tradition of “perfection” with an American educational ethos.

 

Les Roches Marbella offers a truly unique learning experience based on the tradition of Swiss hospitality with renowned international recognition. We provide a multicultural environment, internships opportunities worldwide, expert professional Faculty with many years of experience in the field, state of the art learning facilities, the same quality hospitality management programs and recognition as in other Les Roches campuses, and a strong link with the hospitality and golf industries.

 

Our programs of study are taught entirely in English. The school offers the right combination of practical and theoretical classes which are taught in fully operational and well-equipped modern facilities. This develops students with much sought-after skills, which are therefore highly employable. The Les Roches Marbella programs cover all the disciplines needed by a hospitality leader. Given the importance of languages in this industry, our students also graduate with an additional modern language.

Les Roches Marbella was founded in 1995 with the purpose of educating and training hospitality leaders for the main local Hospitality Industry. Les Roches International School of Hotel Management met three main criteria: a recognized and reputed Swiss Hotel Management School with a true “know-how”, an international accredited institution, and a curriculum taught in English. At Les Roches Marbella we ensure that our programs combine the Swiss tradition of “perfection” with an American educational ethos.

 

2002: GLOBAL NETWORK
Les Roches Marbella became part of Laureate International Universities a division of Laureate Education, Inc. which has more than 69 institutions with presence in 29 countries and serves more than 740,000 students worldwide.

 

 

2004 ACCREDITATION 

Les Roches Marbella was the first school in Spain to receive institutional accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in USA which is one of the six regional accreditation associations for quality assurance recognized by the US Department of Education. The association is the same that recognizes many ivy league schools in the United States.

 

2004:
Les Roches Marbella expanded its facilities and residence to accommodate additional students in a modern tailor-made and fully equipped 10,000 m2 campus. Learning facilities include 15 classrooms, 4 Tutorials (capacity 15 pax), 2 Instruction Kitchens, 1 Restaurant Buffet, 1 Restaurant “à la carte”, 1 Demonstration Kitchen, 1 Demonstration Bar, 1 Demonstration Reception, 1 Language Laboratory and 1 IT Laboratory.

 


 

 

2007: QUALITY ASSURANCE

Les Roches Marbella was awarded Quality Certification in Management Systems UNE/EN/ISO 9001:2008 by the European Quality Assurance (EQA) for complying with international quality standards. EQA is an international certification body accredited by the Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).


2007:
Les Roches Marbella changed its name from Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association School of Hotel Management to “Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management” to better reflect its multicultural student body and global educational approach.

Les Roches Marbella refurnished its library complex and the new “student club”.

 

2008:
Les Roches Marbella launched a new 9 hole putting green.

 

2009: ENVIRONMENTAL ASSURANCE

In May, Les Roches Marbella was awarded Quality Certification in Environmental Management Systems UNE/EN/ISO 14001:2004 by the European Quality Assurance (EQA) for complying with international environmental  standards. EQA is an international certification body accredited by the Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). 

 

2009:

Les Roches Marbella launches a new Auditorium with capacity for 170 students.  It can also be divided into 2 auditoriums with capacity for 85 students each.

 

2010: ACCREDITATION 

Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management, as an official branch campus of Les Roches, is accredited by the New England Associations of Schools and Colleges, Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.

 

2010: X ANDALUSIAN PRIZE TO EXCELLENCE

In December, Les Roches Marbella has been awarded with the X Prize to Andalusian Excellence, granted by the Junta de Andalusia, Spanish regional Government. Les Roches Marbella has achieved this prize under the category «Socially Responsible Management» for the development of practices of social responsibility. 

 

Today…

…Les Roches is building a sophisticated, international platform for hospitality education in the world, with campuses in Spain (Marbella), Switzerland (Bluche / Crans Montana), China (Shanghai) and Blue Mountains International School of Hotel management, Australia.
