Marbella, April 30, 2012 - The International School of Hotel Management Les Roches Marbella will start delivering in August a new BBA-Hospitality specialization in Entrepreneurship and SME Management. The 3.5/1 year program focuses on giving entrepreneurs and managers the hands-on knowledge needed to ensure the success of their future business. A new undergraduate program training top professionals to unlock their full potential while envisioning the global aspect of their entrepreneurial ambitions through the development of effective business planning systems, financial strategies, and cutting edge management techniques.

The International School of Hotel Management Les Roches Marbella will participate in Madrid at the International Postgraduate Studies Fair (FIEP) next 26th April, 2012. Les Roches Marbella will introduce at FIEP its Postgraduate Program that includes the Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management and the Postgraduate Diploma in Golf Management, both fully taught in English and one year duration. Next May 25th it will be awarded the Les Roches Marbella’s FIEP 2012 scholarship.

Maria Teresa Gozalo, CEO of International Hotel Management School Les Roches Marbella, was recently named President of Skal Club International of Marbella. Skal International consists of professionals from across the tourism and hospitality industry with a mission to promote tourism worldwide. With over 20,000 members in eighty-nine countries, Skal International’s is a renowned professional organization throughout the tourism industry.
Dr. Gozalo has a distinguished academic and professional background with numerous postgraduate degrees and specializations within the tourism industry. Most recently she earned a PhD Cum Laude in Business Management and Administration from the University of Malaga, further establishing her academic credentials as a leading professional in the local business community. Since 1996 she has also held the position of CEO with the International Hotel Management School Les Roches Marbella and as a result of her years of success with the school she was chosen to receive the 2011 Business Management Award from the Marbella Chamber of Commerce. Her contribution to the community through Skal International and the continued success of Les Roches Marbella were highlighted by the organization’s members in making the decision to name her the new president in 2012.

Marbella, March 23, 2012 - The International School of Hotel Management Les Roches Marbella hosted a seminar on campus by Intercontinental Hotels Group Europe, one of the hotel industry’s leading groups worldwide.
The school’s Department of Professional Development organized the event in collaboration with IHGE as part of its effort to provide students with industry leading resources that potentiate the experience they can gain through the International In-training Program. Representing Intercontinental Hotels Group Europe was Brigitte Maie, Director of Finance and Business Support. She was accompanied by former Les Roches Marbella Alumni, Angela Sinovas who now serves as the Group’s Human Resources and Training Officer as well as another former student, Rita Lopo who works in the Group’s Human Resources and Future Leaders Program.

Marbella, December 13, 2011 - Les Roches Marbella, Ranked By the Industry the Number 1 Hospitality Management School in Spain, Celebrates its Thirtieth Graduation Ceremony
On Friday the 9th of December at 11.00 a.m. in the “Salón Andalucía” at the Hotel Puente Romano, Les Roches Marbella hold its Graduation Ceremony. Students of the Bachelor in Business Administration – Hospitality (XV graduating class), students of the Hotel Management Diploma (XXX graduating class) and students of the Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management (XXIII graduating class) received their university degrees and diplomas. A total of 91 undergraduate and post-graduate students from over 38 nationalities will receive their degrees and diplomas.

Marbella, November 25, 2011 - Dr. María Teresa Gozalo, CEO of Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management awarded the “2011 Business Management Award” from Marbella Chamber of Commerce
During the Gala Dinner held at Hotel H10 Andalucia Plaza in Marbella, María Teresa Gozalo, CEO of Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management, was publicly awarded with the “2011 Business Management Award” from Marbella Chamber of Commerce (CIT Marbella) for her contribution to the socio-economic development within the city of Marbella. The implementation of an ambitious educational project under her tutelage has allowed the school to consolidate its position as an institution of worldwide recognition while setting the standard for educating future hospitality industry leaders. The award, presented annually since 1989 by the local chamber of commerce association, and this year’s Award Ceremony gathered over 300 of the institution’s distinguished members representatives and Spanish Regional and Local Government authorities.

Nineteen Les Roches Marbella undergraduate students are invested in the XVII Chapter of the prestigious Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Fraternity. All of them are undertaking the third year of the Les Roches Hotel Management Program. The act of investiture took place at Les Roches Marbella Campus on 25th November 2011 (Urbanización Lomas de Río Verde, Carretera de Istán, kilómetro 1, 29602 Marbella-Málaga).
Marbella, November 24, 2011 - Les Roches Marbella organized a Master Class on coffee in collaboration with Starbucks last 28th October for over 100 Les Roches Marbella students.
The International School of Hotel Management Les Roches Marbella recently hosted the international coffee franchise Starbucks who offered the school’s BBA undergraduate students a unique opportunity to participate in their Coffee Master Class. More than 100 of Les Roches’ BBA students attending the class learned of the strategic business importance related to coffee in the hotel industry, its origins, quality and differences, preparation and service methods, and tasting and valuating procedures.
Starbucks Company Coffee Ambassador of Spain, Raquel Garcia, presented the Master Class in a three part format: History of coffee that includes cultivation and harvesting methods, step by step procedures on how to prepare a quality brewed coffee, and finally protocols for coffee tasting and quality valuation behind the company’s Aroma Lab concept. Forming part of a wider commitment to delivering quality education, completion of the Master Class reinforces Les Roches Marbella’s ongoing dedication to giving its students an integral vision covering all facets of the hospitality industry.
