What will I study ?
* Students with professional experience and no bachelor degree will be awarded a “Professional Development Diploma” in place of the Postgraduate Diploma.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The objective of the 1-Year Postgraduate Diploma Program is to offer candidates that hold a degree in a different field the opportunity to acquire and practice the knowledge and managerial skills necessary to successfully enter the hospitality and tourism industry. Employers particularly appreciate the varied backgrounds of post-graduate students because they bring experience, culture and diversity to an industry that thrives on creativity and professionalism.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program is designed for people who already have a university degree or diploma who wish to join the exciting international hospitality industry. The program is delivered entirely in English. Students are exposed to operational management and strategic issues that hospitality managers face today in order to provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed decisions. Subject content within the academic semester consists of hospitality and business management theory. Integrated into the program is the operational management training in traditional culinary arts, as well as food and beverage, for which Les Roches Marbella is well-known.
SEMESTERS OVERVIEW
This is a postgraduate intensive course delivered in English and aimed at graduates. Throughout an entire year, the student specializes in the Business Management of the Hospitality Industry, completing the theoretical preparation in addition to receiving intensive lectures in practical classes, with a 20-24 weeks in-training period in a Spanish or international hospitality establishment.
The program is delivered in English and consists of an intensive academic semester at the school followed by a 5 - 6 month industry internship. Subject content within the academic semester consists of hospitality and business management theory. Subjects include Hospitality Marketing, Rooms Division Operations and Management, Hospitality Accounting and Financial Management, Information Technology, Advanced Culinary Concepts, Beverage, Bar and Wine Service, and Events Management. Faculty is comprised of international hotel and restaurant professionals, and professors with hospitality and university backgrounds.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
| 1. | A completed application form with all pertinent attachments and a non-refundable application fee of 300 Euros. |
| 2. | Must hold a Bachelor Degree or Diploma (preferably in the areas of Tourism, Business Administration, Economics) supported by university transcript and copy of university degree obtained. Applications from non-degree candidates with a minimum of 3 years industry experience will be evaluated on an individual basis. |
| 3. | A reference letter of a professional or academic nature. |
| 4. | If English is not your mother tongue or if you not carried out your university studies in English for at least 3 years, please enclose one of the following: 4.1. TOEFL: minimum score of 500 points for the paper based test or 173 points for the computer based test or 61 for the internet based test (only valid for exams taken within a 1 year period previous to admission). The TOEFL testing number for Les Roches Marbella is 1000.
4.2. Cambridge First Certificate: grade C 4.3. I.E.L.T.S. Students must apply to take the Academic Module examination and obtain a minimum of 5.0 in each discipline and gain at least an overall band of 5.0.
4.4. All English certificates must have been issued in the last 12 months prior to admission. If on application, your official English test results are not available, applicants will be required to take the Les Roches Marbella English entrance exam, and provide your official English results thereafter.
