Semester Overview

The following outline is an overview of the courses offered in the Diploma in Hotel Management program. For further details and course descriptions, refer to the Academic Catalog.

Craft-Based Learning

As a hospitality management school we use the traditional Swiss method of craft-based learning in our Hotel Management Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Hospitality.

Craft-based learning (CBL), also known as experiential learning, is a hands-on approach to management education that teaches you the roles and responsibilities of every person who will be under your supervision later on. This gives you first-hand knowledge of the industry standards in service, hygiene, food preparation, and safety measures. Plus, it gives you experience with the soft-skills of multicultural teamwork, planning and time management, which are essential in the service industries.

These courses make up approximately 8 weeks of the total undergraduate program experience.

What the alumni say?

The program gives a strong base to what the student will encounter in their professional life. The school certainly has a strong name, positive reputation in the service industry.

My time at Les Roches Marbella was without a doubt a great time. I met like minded people and also felt very privileged to receive such great quality education.

I chose Les Roches because to me I find it to be the best school for hospitality management. While there the 3 most important things I learned were leadership, attitude and leading by example.
